The sound of Indian drumming rang out from Northwick Manor Infants School in Worcester during a week of cultural activities. Children in year two were visited by Drumlove, who taught them how to drum and use percussion instruments. Sarah Stanley, arts co-ordinator at the school, said: "Drumlove taught the children all about Indian music. They had a great day using Indian drums and percussion instruments." 21400601 more...
Members of the hockey and netball squad at St Mary's Convent School, Worcester, ran the length of the Barbados coastline to raise funds for their tour of the Caribbean island in July. In just over nine hours, 15 girls completed 60 miles with each one running four miles around the school field. A school spokesman said: "Despite fears from the team, everyone managed to finish the run and live to tell the tale. Well done to all the girls that took part." more...
