WE were sorry to learn of the imminent closure of an important local amenity (Civil Service Social Club) (Gazette 7 March 2008). We appreciate the plight of some of the regular local groups who used their facilities and have no venue now. We would invite any of those "homeless" groups to contact us in order to see if we can help with accommodation. There are a few times when our church hall is not in use and we may be able to accommodate these. Our hall can accommodate up to 60/70 folk and there are parking and excellent catering and toilet facilities.
