A fundraising event at Tamanna Exclusive Asian Cuisine, in High Street, Bromsgrove, organised by Colette Hims - a teaching assistant at Rigby Hall Special School in Aston Fields - added £400 to the total. Thanking all who took part the organisers said the evening was a great success, and the owner of the Tamanna, Chunu Miah, gave half of the evening's proceeds to the appeal. WADDLING toddlers are needed for a sponsored charity walk this April. The Meningitis Trust is staging the ninth toddle waddle and children under five are needed for the event. Funds raised will go towards the charity, which provides ongoing support to families affected by meningitis, which kills more under fives than any other infectious disease in the UK. Malvern St James' school choir is pictured leaving for Italy where it spent the half-term holiday in some of the most famous venues. The choir visited the Teatro del Sale and the Duomo in Florence, the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore and the Ancient Pantheon in Rome. The group, 40 singers in all, were accompanied by Malvern St James' director of music Lynne Lindner, herself an accomplished soprano.
