Band plays the blues

SHARK Attack will be bringing their mix of soul, funk and jazz and blues to Wolverley tomorrow.

The five-piece band, which consists of young and seasoned musicians, will be playing at the Queen's Head.

Drummer, Bev Smith, who started playing in 1972 and had two years tuition by Led Zeppelin's drummer, John Bonham, has rubbed shoulders with Robert Plant and Paul Young.

In 1983, he joined the Honeydippers, with Robert Plant and gigged with the Zeppelin frontman over the next three years.

Vocalist, Sally Haines, is a lyricist and songwriter, who has had experience in radio and plays guitar and keyboards.

Guitarist, Elmer O'Shea has been playing since the age of 14 in his first band the Rockin' Orbits before joining Bonehead..

Bassist, Bill Gilbert, was a member of Second City Sound and released albums and singles during the 1960s.

The final member is Phil Basterfield who formed the band Edwin Avenue with Sally in 1995.

Shark Attack will be on stage from 9pm but visitors are advised to get there early. Admission is payable on the door.
