Another great Number 8 date!

Well they've done it again! Pershore Operatic and Dramatic Society, PODS, put on a wonderful show last week and I can't say it was their best because they are all good and even better than some professional shows I've seen. This of course, more than justifies all the hard work and effort put into firstly obtaining Number 8 as our Theatre and Arts Centre and then into keeping it going as a thriving concern by the community for the community. It is now a year since Number 8 opened and the variety of uses to which the building has been put has been many and varied but none better than this latest production of Scrooge by PODS. Well done once again and many thanks for the hours of work put in by everyone.   more...

The extent of a litter problem...

Well done for mentioning the disgusting crime of littering. What someone says about themselves when they litter is that they are stupid, lazy, ignorant and so arrogant that they think that other people should clear up their filth. Such people do not care that their litter attracts rats intelligent feeling creatures who are then poisoned and I would suggest that it is the human litter louts who are the problem so maybe we should cull them or at least do an on the spot £50 fine or make them spend a day clearing up after themselves? Furthermore angling litter louts do not give a damn that their rubbish kills innocent animals along the river in the most horrific ways. Why are these people not forced to donate to one of the wildlife charities who clear up after them as well as being permanently banned from the river bank? Anglers should certainly treat litterers among them as pariahs.   more...
